Information we collect
We collect information you provide, such as your account details, notes, uploaded materials, and messages you send through the service.
We also receive basic technical and usage information, including device, browser, IP address, and feature interaction data needed to operate and improve Graphite.
How we use information

- Improve product quality, reliability, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse.
Google sign-in
If you choose to sign in with Google, our authentication provider makes basic Google account information available to Graphite, such as your name, email address, profile image, and the information needed to authenticate your account.
Graphite uses this information to create and secure your account, sign you in, maintain your profile, and display your identity when you collaborate with other users. We store the account information needed to provide these features for as long as your account remains active or as otherwise required for the purposes described in this policy.
We share this information only with service providers that help us authenticate users, host data, secure Graphite, and operate the service. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising.
Graphite's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
AI features
When you use AI features, the prompt and context you select may be sent to service providers that help us generate a response. Only use these features with content you are permitted to share.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with vendors that process data on our behalf, when you direct us to share content, or when required for safety, legal compliance, or a business transfer.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Graphite, meet legal requirements, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update your account information and delete content through the product. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or object to certain processing.
Changes
We may update this policy as Graphite evolves. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material.
